Bissell 5770 Vacuum Cleaner
Vacuum cleaners, like many other products are notoriously over hyped. Most vacuum cleaners manufacturing companies make claims that are rarely met by the product itself. It is in fact very difficult to find a vacuum cleaner which meets all expectations. The Bissell 5770 is an exception, as it comes close to delivering what has been promised. Some of its good points are:
- The Bissell 5770 has a feature called Cyclonic action, what this means is that it has got a very strong suction power, so much so that if you are not careful with its settings, it can pull your carpet or rug. This feature also makes it great at cleaning carpets which are otherwise hard to clean.
- The Bissell 5770 is equipped with a HEPA filtration that can even clean various allergens present in the air.
- It does not have a bag, so you do not need to spend money on frequent changes of vacuum bags.
- The wheels of Bissell 5770 are big and allow for smooth movement as well as rotation.
- It is also equipped with a relatively longer cord, which allows you to cover a larger area while plugged in at the same power point.
However we are not living in a fairy tale world so there are bound to be cons to all the pros. The Bissell 5770 has its share of cons. These are:
- Its weight. At 35 pounds it can be heavy to lug around the house doing a thorough cleaning job.
- Since it is a bag-less vacuum cleaner, it has got a canister for storing all the dust. The problem is that the button that opens the canister is located at the bottom, which means that one has to bend down to open it. Now that wouldn’t have been a big problem except for people with back ache. But the canister has a tendency to open in such a way that the dust contained in it can sometimes fly everywhere.
Overall the Bissell 5770 is a good product that is very capable of high quality cleaning. However, like many other vacuums, some minor design adjustments could be made.
